SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - WITNEY, OXFORDSHIRE - JOB REF: JO38721
 
Accountancy Elite are currently recruiting for a client of ours in Witney who are looking for a strong practice accountant to add to their senior ranks in a Senior Accountant role.

Candidate Attributes:
 
·A newly qualified ACA/ACCA candidate or a QBE with at least 5 years practice experience
·Extensive experience producing FRS 105 and FRS102 1A statutory accounts
·Someone who can work independently and produce high quality accounts and tax returns ready for manager or partner review.
·Mentor and assist junior members of staff in preparing their work. Ability to review the work of junior team members is desirable but not essential.
·Support managers and partners in ad hoc tasks including tax planning, advisory work and handling client queries
 
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Providing guidance and support to junior team members
·Review of management accounts, and VAT returns.
·Preparing management accounts with more technical requirements
·Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
·Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
·Managing a small portfolio of clients involving overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
·Responding to technical accounting and finance related queries from staff and clients
·Effectively managing client communication
·Client meetings
