BOOKKEEPING & VAT MANAGER - BANBURY, OXFORDSHIRE - JOB REF: JO38703

Accountancy Elite are currently recruiting for a client of ours in Banbury who are looking for a bookkeeping and VAT manager to join their team. The successful candidate in this role will be ACCA/ACA or QBE and have extensive demonstrable experience in Bookkeeping, management accounts & VAT within practice.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

·Taking overall responsibility for all of the office’s VAT return and management accounts
·Providing guidance and support to junior team members
·Review of management accounts and VAT returns.
·Preparing VAT returns and management accounts with more technical requirements
·Overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
·Effectively managing client communication
·Assisting clients with software and bookkeeping queries
·Responding to staff and client queries

Candidate Attributes:

·Is ACA/ACCA/QBE qualified
·Has experience of sole trade, partnership and limited company bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
·Has experience working within general practice
·Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and positive mindset
·Takes a commercial approach, keeping client’s best interests at the heart of everything
·Able to build strong relationships internally and externally
·Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
·Experience with a range of accounting softwares is desirable but as a minimum, knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks are required. Willingness to learn other softwares and assist clients with their own software as well.
